Ever since my big sister made me watch the film, it has always been a favourite. Not only is it funny and has an awesome soundtrack, but the fashion is just amazing! Girls all around the world have been pledging allegiance to Cher Horowitz since it was released in 1995, including me.
So I thought it was only fitting to dedicate a post to Cher, or should I say costume designer, Mona May. She is the reason why I love matchy-matchy plaid ensembles, knee high socks and Mary Jane's.
Mona May says, "Clueless was very influenced by the runway shows. I wanted the clothing to look fresh, but it also had to feel right in the high school halls."
Let's take some time to admire Mona May's work in the form of the beautiful outfits that Cher Horowitz wears.
